Below is a listing of our core beliefs:
The Scriptures. The Scriptures, including both the Old and New Testaments, are inspired by God and are the only infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
God. There is only one true and living God, revealed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom is co-eternal, co-existent, and co-equal (commonly referred to as the Trinity). God is the creator of the heavens and the earth, including all living things, by a direct act.
Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and is both human and divine. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles performed, substitutionary work on the cross, bodily resurrection from the dead, ascension to the right hand of God and His future, personal return to earth. The Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son.
Humanity. Humanity—both male and female—was created in the image of God, but upon temptation was disobedient to God thereby bringing sin into the world, which resulted in the physical and spiritual death of humanity with no hope of salvation apart from the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel. The Gospel is the good news of God’s salvation for humanity which is provided through faith in the substitutionary death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who believe are forgiven of their sins and given eternal life.
The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is deeply involved in the life of believers, convicting them of sin, leading them to Christ, regenerating them in salvation, guiding them into all truth, empowering them for service, and helping them to live lives pleasing to God.
Final Judgment. God has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by Jesus Christ. All will stand before God to give an account of their thoughts, words, and deeds; those righteous will be saved and go into everlasting life and those who reject Christ will be damned and cast into everlasting destruction.
